Geography and Culture
The ongoing notes I'm taking from a reread of Claymore, including village names, culture notes, etc.
The Five Sectors
Alphons/Alphonse: The Northern lands, originally overseen by Isley.
Lautrec: The Western lands, overseen by Riful.
Musha: The Southern lands, overseen first by Luciela and then by Isley.
Sutafu: The Eastern lands, home of the Orgaization.
Toulouse: The Center lands, home of Rabona. The top three Claymores are stationed in this area in order to quickly respond to threats.
Cities, Towns and other Locations
Egon: A village in Clare's Western Territory. It appears to be at the edge of a desert wasteland. Clare dropped Raki off here on her way to a mission in Chapter 3.
Mount Shire: A mountain Clare and Raki crossed to get to Elena. In the Western Territories, but it's not clear whether it's actually within Clare's area.
Rabona: The Holy City, situated in the center of the entire island/continent. In the center of Rabona itself is a grand cathedral. Rabona does not allow anything "unnatural" beyond its gates, though in recent times (current manga chapters) this policy has loosened somewhat. In any case, it appears to be the largest city seen in the series thus far. Notable faces include Father Vincent (the priest who called on Clare), Sid and Galk (two human soldiers who helped Clare in the early chapters, and Galatea post-timeskip).
Rokut: A village situated inside a mountain range located in Teresa's Toulouse territory. Teresa intends to leave Clare there, and does so, but the bandits that have been shadowing them wipe the village out. This motivates Teresa to slaughter the bandits, thus bringing the Organization down on her head.
Strah: A village in Clare's Western Territory. It's a two day trip west from a waterfall, and was the home of five yoma who were killed by Clare in Chapter 2.
Teo: A village in Teresa's Toulouse territory. This is where she meets Clare. It is a two day walk west from the nameless village where Teresa first appears.
Religion and Misc.
One God of Rabona: The religion of Rabona. It appears to be modeled on Catholicism. The center of this religion is the cathedral in Rabona. One can be baptised therre, but only after completing a "Pilgram's Journey" and presenting proof of this in the form of what appears to be a gold disc.
Runoa: A time period - how long ago is unclear, but it was long ago enough that items from this time are considered antiques. The religion isn't clear, but Clare carried a statue of a goddess that she claimed had been from this time period, so one can assume there were goddesses in this period.
